Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Poughkeepsie is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Poughkeepsie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I love Korean food and have had Korean food from all over the Northeast (NYC, north Jersey, and Philly) and this place is just as good, if not better! Soooo tasty and flavorful. Husband and wife (owners I think) chatted with us after our meal and they are very sweet. Itβs a breath of fresh air to have a place like this in Poughkeepsie.

Delicious food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. The hot stone pot took a little longer to arrive, but thatβs a good sign itβs freshly made and definitely worth the wait. Overall, a great spot for delicious Korean food. Highly recommend!

Food: KorPot is the kind of Korean spot that feels comforting, generous, and worth coming back to. The portions are big, but the food still feels cared for. The katsu was a standout. The cutlet had a great crisp coating, stayed tender inside, and the sauce over the top made it rich and satisfying without completely drowning out the crunch. With the purple rice, cabbage, and kimchi on the side, it felt like a full plate that actually ate well from start to finish. The bulgogi was another strong order. The beef had that sweet-savory Korean flavor, with onions, scallions, and sesame giving it enough texture and depth to keep every bite interesting. The bibimbap was also excellent because everything had its place: vegetables, egg, beef, rice, and sauce all mixing into something filling but still fresh. The tofu stew brought a completely different kind of comfort. Hot, spicy, and deeply satisfying, with enough brightness and heat to make it feel like more than just a soup. Service: Service was friendly, fast, and straightforward. The food came out hot, the portions were generous, and the whole meal felt easy. Summary: Easy 5/5. KorPot feels like a hidden gem for Korean comfort food. B

Came around 12 when it's supposed to open, was told by the manager that they need 20 minutes to set up kitchen, waited for 30 mins instead, but at least they were warm and friendly. The food was great, not authentic as everything tends to lean on the American sweet and sour side, can't blame them since it's in a white town in the middle of nowhere. The loud AI music blasting non-stop in the restaurant can get irritating after 5 minutes so be ready for that. The portion size was very large, more than enough for the average person.

I loved the food, very cozy traditional Korean cooked really well. I was surprising to find such quality food out here and I'm so glad I tried it! Every dish I tried was great, all the ingredients fresh. The vibe of the place leans a little too heavily on Korean TV shows, movies, and music, but otherwise it was fine.
